Pleiogynium timorense

Burdekin Plum

In good soils grows to an attractive large, densely canopied tree, but is also very hardy and is even found in sand dunes on the foreshore. The fruit is edible, best eaten when completely soft. The flavour varies considerably between trees. Timber prized by wood turners.
